Ragnar Klavan left Liverpool for Italian football this summer - but that still didn't prevent the Estonia captain voting for former team-mate Mohamed Salah as World Player of the Year in last night's FIFA awards.
Slovakia skipper Martin Skrtel, however, who ended his eight year association with the Reds before Salah signed, only placed the Egyptian King third on his list, behind first pick Luka Modric and Kylian Mbappe.
Every international captain and every international coach is asked to select the first, second and third choices by FIFA. The first picks are awarded five points, second three points and the third picks one point. All the totals were then added up to reveal that Luka Modric was the World Player of the Year with 29.05% of the vote, Cristiano Ronaldo second with 19.08% and then Salah third with 11.23% - ahead of World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe and five times world player of the year Lionel Messi.
